How
to Borrow Videos/DVDs
The materials listed
in our catalog are provided as a service of the N.C. Department of Labor. The
library's audiovisual collection consists of approximately 500 titles. These
materials cover a wide variety of subjects reflecting the diversity of occupations
in North Carolina and are geared to maintain North Carolina's high occupational
safety and health standards.
Who can borrow
audiovisuals?
The N.C. Department of Labor Library lends videos and DVDs to North Carolina
businesses and organizations. We do not sell any materials; however, vendor
information is available upon request.
Is there a
charge?
Borrowers agree to pay return shipping for materials borrowed. Otherwise, the
service is free of charge.
How do I request
material?
To request a video, contact the library by calling 1-800-NC-LABOR (625-2267)
or (919) 807-2848. If the material you request is checked out, you may want
to
request
another title or request that we place a hold on the unavailable title so that
we can contact you when it becomes available. We recommend that you contact
the library about one week before you need the material. Audiovisuals are sent
out on a first-come, first-serve basis via U.S. Mail.
Library patrons
must complete, sign and return a Library Loan Agreement to the library before
checking out any material. In order to expedite your request, you may also
fax a signed copy of the agreement to (919) 807-2849, but you will also need
to mail or deliver the original copy to the library.

How long may
I keep materials?
You may check out up to five titles at a time, for a period of three weeks.
A due date will be on the audiovisual case with return address. Please be
sure to return materials promptly, because someone else may be waiting for
them.
Items are renewable
for a three-week period, provided that no one else has requested them. Please
call the library at (919) 807-2848 if you wish to renew!
